FAMILY and friends of Kieran Smith paid their respects at his funeral today.
The service was held this morning at Portchester Crematorium.
Kieran, 24, went missing on March 10 from his home in Harcourt Road, Fareham, resulting in a big search from friends and family.
People took to social media to share his picture and posters were put up throughout Fareham.
But his body was found on April 8, off Ranvilles Lane, in Fareham.
Speaking after his funeral, Kieran’s mum Linda Payne said: ‘Reverend Karen Steel did such a good job and made the service so lovely.
‘It was lovely remembering Kieran’s life and all the happy memories we have of him.’
During the service, his step-dad Howard spoke about Kieran’s hobby of fishing.
He added: ‘Having a few beers, listening to music and having a fishing rod made Kieran so happy.’
