Miss Fernandes said: ‘All too often we hear about the problems that can accompany the ageing process, including loneliness and isolation, and in my opinion all too little is being done to tackle these issues.

‘I have therefore decided to host a fair to bring together the huge variety of interest and activity groups we having in our community.’

Miss Fernandes will meet visitors at the free event which will take place from between 3pm to 5.30pm.
