As reported in The News thousands of pounds was raised to fly the mum-of-two home after she was stuck in a hospital in the United States. She was on the holiday of a lifetime at Disney World, Florida, when she slipped and broke her leg. Doctors at the hospital revealed her cancer had spread to her bones and lungs, and airlines refused to take her without an expensive insurance policy. In 2010, she was diagnosed with breast cancer but was given the five-year all-clear before her brain cancer diagnosis.
