FAMILIES are being offered a day dedicated to fun – for free.

On July 21 the Family Church has arranged for bouncy castles, games, craft stalls and a steel band for an event in Havant Park.

Last year more than 1,500 people attended, making the most of the activities on offer which included face painting and an animal petting corner plus children’s entertainers.

Pastor Steve Carey, who is organising the event, said: ‘Last year was a huge success with over 1,500 people attending and we’re hoping that this year it will be another great day for the community.

‘Every single activity is free of charge and all are welcome. There is something for everyone.

‘This is our gift to the community in economically tough times and we hope that it will help put a smile on people’s faces.

‘We know this will be a great occasion for all the family.’

The fun begins at 11am until 4pm and will be open to all public.

There will be a number of refreshment stalls on site.
