SOME of Portsmouth’s’s best up and coming artists are exhibiting work at the Round Tower.
Panoptic, featuring works by city university student Megan Day, Des Kilfeather, Anthony Ndikanwu, Helen Prescott, Emily Percival, Emma Seymour and Kye Wilson, opens tomorrow.
The pieces, which include models, photography and embroidery, address issues including health, obsession, education, religion, space, society and the ethics of power in dynastic families, including the royal family.
The exhibition has been sponsored by Portsmouth City Council, ASPEX Gallery, the University of Portsmouth and ES Lighting Hire.
Principal art lecturer at the university Ken Devine said: ‘We’re presented with an array of observations and enquiries which delve into subject matter that range from the deeply personal and intimate to the macro-political.’
The exhibition is open from 10am to 2pm every day until September 19. It is free to enter.
