NEW YEAR - fresh start! At least that’s what many of us would say.

After spending the last several days coming to terms with it no longer being Christmas my thoughts are now set on New Year’s resolutions.

Many of us find ourselves aiming for a New Year’s resolution... but do we actually stick to them?

Here are nine resolutions we commonly break.

1. Lose Weight and Get Fit

Get ready to be bombarded with ‘January sales’ from fitness clubs.

2. Learn Something New

Sometimes learning something new everyday isn’t enough and it is satisfying to learn something greater, such as a language.

3. Get Out of Debt and Save Money

4. Drink Less alcohol

Keep trying!

5. Be Less Stressed

6. Spend More Time with Family

7. Quit Smoking

8. Travel to New Places
