DELIVERY times will change for people living in the PO7 and PO8 postcode areas of Waterlooville.

Postmen and women from Royal Mail will no long carry postbags or use pushbikes as have each been issued with a trolley meaning routes and times will change.

Royal Mail say the move is to cut carbon emissions and for the health of staff because fewer letters are being sent while more and heavier parcels are being delivered.

The changes will mean post may be delivered later or earlier than households are used to.

Royal Mail’s delivery sector manager Dominic Best said: ‘The local delivery team and I are fully committed to providing a high quality of service that is as reliable and friendly as customers have come to expect from Royal Mail over many years.’
