KIND-HEARTED families are donating generously to help others when they visit Father Christmas.

The Meridian Centre, in West Street, Havant, is playing host to Father Christmas and his elves every weekend from now until Christmas.

A different charity benefits from the grotto each year.

This time it is Over the Wall which provides activity holidays for children with terminal and life-limiting illnesses.

Entry is just £1 per child and, thanks to the generosity of parents, thousands of pounds have been raised for charities in previous years. Centre manager Rob Fryer is aiming for £1,500 this year.

Opening hours are 11am until 3pm and include a photo of the children with Father Christmas.
