Plenty of half-term activities in Gosport

There is always plenty of things going on in Gosport.

There is always a wide variety of events on there including craft sales, open mic nights, church fetes etc as well as clubs including beavers, scouts, brownies, karate and boxing clubs.

Gosport has a wide variety of people who are happy to hold events and clubs for the people of Gosport.

Tammy’s One Stop Party Shop at Rowner Road is holding a coffee afternoon in aid of the Stroke Association.

It is being run by Jeanette Perry, entitled Bring Me Sunshine, today from 2pm.

There will be tea, cake, biscuits and goody bags.

Many local businesses have donated to Jeanette in order to run this event, including Tesco’s in Forton Road, Whitworth Road Post Office, Grace Hames Hair Studio and Dash & Cox.

Events can’t go on without the kindness and generosity of the shops and people like Jeanette running them.

She is disabled but is always happy to help anyone, I admire her.

On Saturday, there will be a drop-in shopping day at Tammy’s One Stop Party Shop.

Rachel Fendle from Gosport will be selling her personalised towels, T-shirts, hoodies, blankets and her hand crocheted Star Wars characters.

she will also be selling her princesses with hair and her beautiful princesses with no hair, with money going to Gosport’s Harbour Cancer Support Centre in the bus station in Gosport.

The event will be from 11am-3pm and you can pop in anytime and enjoy a coffee with us.

Other events this half-term include a Lego day on Friday from 11am-3pm at the Explosion Museum, where you can build a ship.

Gosport Marine Scene have the boat jumble coming back on Sunday at 10am in the Haslar Marina.

The entrance fee is £4 and accompanied children may enter for free.

The Trash Café is holding a half-term special today between midday and 7pm at the Jervis Gallery at St Vincent College.

There is a café and a shopping boutique which you can ‘pay as you feel’, as well as free goodie bags to the first 30 people, a bake sale, games, quizzes, food and craft and business stalls.

Across the water in Portsmouth, children who go to the Spinnaker Tower with a full-paying adult can go in for just £1 during the whole half-term.
