A THOUGHT-PROVOKING art exhibition is being staged in Havant.

One of Hampshire’s leading poets, Audi Maserati, has painted a variety of canvasses that express his poems and thoughts in a visual form.

The exhibition is on every Tuesday to Saturday until September 17 at Wordsouth, in The Pallant, near Waitrose supermarket.

One canvas includes a pair of old trainers mounted in the centre of the painting.

Anne Jenkins, who runs the centre, which is a not-for-profit organisation about promoting art and language, said: ‘They are absolutely amazing.

‘They are all very different and thought-provoking.’
