OFFICERS and staff have returned to a police station after fumigators cleared it of fleas.

Fratton police station, in Kingston Crescent, was shut from last Thursday until this morning.

Staff at the office of Simon Hayes, Hampshire’s police and crime commissioner, said it re-opened as planned.

The building houses 203 officers and 65 staff after the area’s CID teams were moved to the station earlier in the year.

All had to work elsewhere.
