A HORSE show which raises money for local children has been postponed.

The Denmead Horse Show was due to be held tomorrow.

But problems with the field, off Forest Road, have forced the organisers to put it back to September 16.

The show has different classes including show jumping, showing and games.

Profits will go towards new play equipment and youth projects for Denmead, in partnership with the Denmead Youth Partnership and Swings and Things.

David Smith, one of the organisers, said: ‘Due to the current cuts there is now no financial supports or grants available and fundraising is an imperative to keep going.

‘Over the years the shows have proved to be increasingly popular and successful and cater for a wide range of disciplines and abilities.’

Gates open for spectators at 8.30am.

There is a £1 entrance fee. Go todeanmeadhorseshows.co.uk
