Portsmouth’S park-and-sail summer service returns at the weekend.

It will run every Saturday and Sunday and then, for the first time, every day from August 22 to 31.

The service runs from the park-and-ride at junction 1 on the M275, where a shuttle-bus will take visitors to the boat.

As well as taking people to Gunwharf Quays, the 25-minute boat trip includes a tour of the harbour with commentary.

The price is £10 per vehicle, which includes all-day parking and sailing to Gunwharf Quays.

Visitors can use their ticket to travel on the park-and-ride bus from The Hard to Southsea seafront.

Return is either by park and ride bus or back on the boat.

Last year more than 4,700 passengers used the service.
