GUIDED walks along the historic ramparts of Priddy’s Hard in Gosport are back on.

People can take a tour of the areas not usually open to the public at the Explosion! Museum of Naval Firepower.

Walks will be held on the first Saturday of each month until October, starting on July 7.

Each walk starts at 1pm from the museum’s coffee shop and will be led by historian Terry Hinkley.

The ramparts are part of Gosport’s early fortifications which were an extension of the defences at Portsmouth Harbour.

The walks include talks on the history and how the area later became an ordnance supply depot. Tickets cost £2 per person.

Anyone who wants to go along must book a place in advance.

They are not suitable for children under the age of 12 and older children must be accompanied by an adult.
