Portsmouth Men's Shed holds a meeting for new recruits

The organisation is holding a meeting at Wymering Manor, Old Wymering Lane, on Tuesday, May 17, from 2pm.

The meeting is helping to kick-start a project which will see a new Men’s Shed being set up in the area.

Men’s Sheds provide a place where men can make friends, share their hobbies and complete tasks both for themselves and to benefit the community. There are groups in Old Portsmouth and Havant already.

Andy Pottinger, of Portsmouth Men’s Shed, said: ‘This is a great way to avoid loneliness. It’s to do with men’s wellbeing and having a place to engage with others.’
