A WILDLIFE park and zoo in the area has been nominated for a national award.

Marwell Wildlife, which runs a zoological park in Colden Common near Winchester, was put up for the Accessible Days Out Award by Disabled Motoring UK.

The award – which covers castles, museums, theme parks and much more – aims to recognised attractions that go above and beyond to ease accessibility for all their visitors.

A team of judges from Disabled Motoring UK, the British Parking Association and The Lively Crew will decide the winners.

They will then announce the winners at a ceremony on Friday in Goodwood Hotel, coinciding with the Goodwood Revival Festival.
