HEADLINE act Professor Green has pulled out of the P1 Grand Prix of the Sea.

The sporting event which hits Gosport shores this weekend will have a music stage as part of the entertainment.

But main act Professor Green, who recently performed at the Portsmouth Summer Show in Cosham, has pulled out. He is known for his number one hit Read All About It featuring Emeli Sande.

Tickets for the music show on Sunday will be refunded and it will now be free.

A statement from the P1 Grand Prix of the Sea said: ‘Following the announcement by Professor Green’s management that he will not be performing at Stokes Bay, in Gosport this Sunday, P1 is pleased to confirm that the live event will go ahead with entry now being free.

‘The artists appearing will be Kaz Deejay, Tre Amici, Emily Adams and DJ Santero, with doors opening at 4.00pm.

‘Ticketmaster will refund money to those who have purchased tickets.’

The two-day event will see thousands flock to Stokes Bay for the second year running to see the P1 fleet of race boats and jet ski riders.

The high speed event will have on-shore entertainment like stalls, a barbecue and funfair.
