MODEL-MAKERS and ship enthusiasts are being urged to visit the Explosion! museum this weekend for a unique exhibition.

The museum in Heritage Way, Gosport has organised displays of warships and war-games for this Saturday and Sunday.

It is expected to be the museum’s biggest ever display of model warships and war- games. There will also be remote controlled model boats on the museum’s specially-built boating pool.

The Naval Wargames Society and its members will recreate historic battles in miniature model form.

Marc Farrance, event organiser, said: ‘We are more excited about this year’s event than ever before and the range of models and related items on show is very impressive.

‘We are delighted to welcome the Naval Wargames Society to Explosion! and we are sure warships and war-games will be a hit with all the family.’

The exhibition and displays are free with a museum ticket.
