RICKY Martin’s cheeky sales patter has helped him survive another week of the Apprentice.
The Stubbington recruitment consultant’s team managed a tight victory in tonight’s episode, which challenged the contestants to select and sell the most popular products.
Ricky did well in an Essex market stall – where punters were attracted by his promise of an ‘extendable, expandible, blue super mop’ – and his team Sterling triumphed with total assets of £955.20, compared with £838.21 for Phoenix.
Although it wasn’t all plain sailing for last week’s team Stirling project manager.
He complained about feeling ‘like a spare part’ after being told to collect more stock and received a tongue lashing from Lord Alan Sugar in the boardroom for spending much of tonight’s episode stuck in traffic.
‘It’s shameful to be without stock,’ Lord Sugar told him when it emerged they hadn’t dropped off their remaining goods with their team mates – allowing them to almost run out.
But after last week’s near miss he stayed out of the firing line and Azhar Siddique became the latest hopeful to be axed.
The 33-year-old founder and managing director of a catering and refrigeration company from Manchester reckoned he was shown the way out from the BBC show because he was ‘a threat’, following team Phoenix’s loss.
