COLLEAGUES have rowed their way to pounds for charity.
A team of seven from the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory took on the gruelling challenge to row non-stop for 24 hours to raise money for armed forces charity Ssafa.
Challenge organiser Adrian Tyrell said: ‘The support from everyone across Dstl was fantastic and really helped the team through the challenge - especially when we were struggling through the night.’
The lab decided to take on the task as they wanted to show their support for the work that the armed forces do.
The scientists, analysts and military advisors set themselves a target of rowing 214 miles (345km) and managed to row just over their initial mark.
In total the team managed to raise more than £1,000.
