Rugby World Cup trophy will go on display in Portsmouth

THE Rugby World Cup trophy will be on display to the public in Portsmouth tomorrow.

HMS Temeraire, in Burnaby Road, will welcome the Webb Ellis Cup from 10am to 1pm as part of its 100-day tour of the UK and Ireland ahead of the competition.

More than 400 school children have been invited.

HMS Temeraire is one of 41 team bases that will host a team during the tournament between September 18 and October 31.

The USA squad will train there in preparation for their game against Samoa in Brighton.
