Several people have reported sightings of Barry, who also has no tail, at the Lakeside North Harbour complex.

Also known as Bazza, the cat from Fratton has been spotted near the lake at the back of the Western Road business park.

He has also been seen near several buildings including 1000 Lakeside, 2000 Lakeside and the UK headquarters of IBM on the west side of the complex.

Portsmouth pet rescue group Lost and Found Cats has raised concerns for the cat’s health in the winter, after people said that Barry looked very thin when they spotted him around Lakeside.

They also fear that Barry may have toppled into the lake after trying to catch fish to eat or drink water.

Penny Parker, of Lost and Found Cats, said: ‘Due to his disability we are sending members of our group out walking around the lake and leaving a little bit of food.’

Anyone who sees Barry at Lakeside North Harbour, or in the surrounding areas, has been urged to contact Penny on (023) 9232 4086.
