THE first of the summer’s free guided bike rides through the city takes place on Sunday.
Portsmouth City Council has teamed up with Sky and British Cycling for the Sky Rides, which range from three to 30 miles.
It is part of a national campaign to get more people cycling for fun and fitness.
The rides will explore different themes – from city streets and park life, to waterways and woodland.
Sunday’s opening ride is an easy-going four-mile ride from the Mountbatten Centre to Cosham Park. It begins at 2pm.
There will be 20 rides throughout the summer.
It is free to register. Go to goskyride.com/Portsmouth.
