Beverley Phipps, from Albert Road, Southsea, started her business Smiling From Within in 2016 after her mother Crystal Clear, a well known psychic clairvoyant in Portsmouth and London, died.

Since then the 46-year-old has developed her skills and provided readings to hundreds of people, some as far away as New York and Canada.

The mum-of-one said that lockdown has drawn more people to her for advice and guidance, especially as her readings are conducted over the telephone.

She said: ‘My mum came to me in a dream telling me that all the people calling her phone were looking for someone to do exactly what we knew I could do and that I needed to start doing the readings in her place.

‘When I let her clients know I was now doing readings, they gave me a try and were over the moon with my style of reading and accuracy. Before long I had built my own client base and now read for them all, with my own national and international clients finding me online.

‘All my readings are done via the telephone and what makes them so special is that I never see my clients; only knowing their first name before our session begins.

‘I tell them within the first 10 minutes everything about what's going on for them. This proves my abilities and builds their trust as I’m telling them things I shouldn’t have known. I guarantee that if this isn’t the case, within that timeframe, I will refund their money.

‘Since Covid kicked in I have been back to back with readings, helping mainly those in business who’ve suffered a massive loss of income, the stress of having to let employees go, their desperation to know if their businesses will survive and most of all - when will all this end.

‘And that’s not to mention all the landlords with their tenants and legal situations. But most heartbreaking of all is the relationships feeling the strain of lockdown and job losses. So many are overwhelmed right now.

‘I just want to reach out to those who are struggling and let them know, it's not all doom and gloom.’

Beverley’s readings cost £45 for 45 minutes or £65 for an hour. Go to facebook.com/SmileWithin or call 07725 810648 for more.
