TWO reality TV stars have put their money where their mouths are and and pitched in to help a dying mum.

Life On Marbs stars Lina Hodgkins and Jon Stretton-Knowles have made generous donations to #ClaresDisneyDream, an appeal raising money to send Clare Baillie, 37, of Baffins, to Disney World with her family.

Jon, 34, has donated £1,000 towards the £10,000 target and Lina, 54, has donated €100, about £70.

Both Jon and Lina are from Portsmouth and regularly visit family and friends in the area when they are not spending time in the Spanish resort of Marbella, where their ITV show is based.

Jon made his donation with the message to Clare: ‘I really hope that this donation will help in sending you and your lovely family to Disneyland. Loads of love.’

He also told The News: ‘As a devoted dad I found Clare’s story really touching, and am honoured to be able to help.’

Lina, who knew Clare growing up, said: ‘I was so saddened to hear of Clare’s battle.

‘I have met Clare over the years as her parents and mine were friends.

‘I hope they have a fantastic holiday that will give the children lifelong memories of their brave and inspirational mother.’

And Jon and Lina are not the only ones who have given generously to make Clare’s dream come true.

The appeal, which was announced on Saturday, has already raised more than £3,200.

Actor and former football player Vinnie Jones has pledged to donate $US5,000 (about another £3,200), and scores of other well-wishers have also made donations.

Clare was diagnosed with colon cancer three years ago and since then the disease has spread to other parts of her body.

Doctors told Clare the cancer is inoperable, and she made a ‘bucket list’ of things she wanted to achieve before she died.

Among her wishes was to visit Disney World in Florida with her husband and four children.

Details of auctions and other fundraisers can be found on a Facebook group called Clare’s Disney Dream.
