PORTCHESTER Castle played host to a popular walk through its grounds.
The walk, run by the Portsmouth Independent and Wellbeing team, was around two miles long and saw a good crowd of people take part.
Afterwards, the group enjoyed tea and cake at St Mary’s Church, next to the castle.
Jack Dixon, 90, from Paulsgrove is a walk leader. He takes part in many walks across the area.
He said: ‘I have been walking for years. I do roughly 10 or 11 walks a month.
‘It just keeps me fit. I’m 90 and I do a lot of line dancing too. I’m a pretty busy person.
‘It’s very good. We go in all weathers, it doesn’t matter if it’s raining.
‘We had a good crowd of people turning up. They look forward to coming. We have a bit of a laugh.’
