A STORE will be given a new look as part of a chain’s rebranding.

The Quality Seconds store in North End will be closing down so that it can be refitted and modernised.

The chain’s owners are in the process of moving the stores over to the Store21 brand.

The North End branch is to be part of the next tranche of 20 or so shops to be given the new identity.

Councillor Luke Stubbs, cabinet member for economic development at Portsmouth City Council, said: ‘This investment will secure Quality Seconds’ place in North End for some years to come.

‘Retail patterns are changing nationwide but secondary centres in Portsmouth continue to perform better than similar streets elsewhere.’
