CHEF Sven-Hanson Britt has cooked his way to a place in the final of MasterChef: The Professionals.
The 26-year-old, who once worked as a plate washer at Banks Bar Bistro in Bishop’s Waltham, told of his surprise at coming a step close to winning the TV show.
On the latest show, broadcast on BBC One last night, he said of making the final: ‘I’m really surprised to be honest, I thought I’d cooked myself home.’
The chef has previously said he randomly applied for the hit show.
Since his pot washing days he has created dishes at the Ritz as well as wowing the Masterchef: The Professionals judges – chef Marcus Wareing, Gregg Wallace and Monica Galetti – with his talents.
The second semi-final was due to be broadcast on BBC Two tonight.
