Charity swimmers at Fareham Leisure Centre raised thousands of pounds for charity.

Ninety-three swimmers took part in the world’s biggest charity swim in April and swam 1,500m, 2,500m or 5,000m, individually or as part of team.

The participants raised over £3,919 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Fareham Leisure Centre is run by Everyone Active in partnership with Fareham Borough Council.

General manager Ryan Grant said: ‘I’m delighted that the Fareham swimming community raised so much money for such an important charity.’

‘They should be very proud of their achievements.

‘I would like to congratulate all the swimmers who trained so hard.’
