HUNDREDS of pounds were raised for a good cause at a teddy bear hunt.

The event was held in Hundred Acres Wood in Wickham last month and raised £477.

It was organised by the 1st Fareham Scout Group and the money will go to the group, which has 70 Scouts, Cubs and Beavers.

Chairwoman Linda Wells said: ‘We survive by holding several fundraising events a year, such as this event, bag packing and bucket collecting by the kids.

‘We have an old hut which we have to repair and renovate, which we fundraise for.

‘But we are having a wonderful year so far. Anyone who helps us in any way, no matter how small, is very much appreciated.’
