Teenager is assaulted during daylight robbery in Locks Heath

POLICE are hunting for a man who robbed a group of teenage boys – and struck one of his victims across the head.

The man approached a group of four teenage boys, between 15 and 17 years old, in Crescent Park Road at 3pm on Friday.

He threatened the group and demanded their belongings, before striking one of the teenagers across the head.

The teenager did not require treatment after the assault.

The man, believed to be about 18, was white, slim, and had light coloured hair. He wore a black jacket with a zip-up front.

Det Con Terry Langworthy from the Eastern Investigation Team said: ‘We have been carrying out patrols and enquiries in the local area and scoping CCTV.

‘We would also like to ask anyone who was in the area at the time of the offence if they saw anyone matching this description.

‘This incident happened in broad daylight and I’m sure other people would have been in the area at the time this man was.
