The 19-year-old suffers from cystic fibrosis, but has not let his illness get in the way of his passion.

Brandon, from Gosport, wanted to have DJ equipment and attend an academy – something that has been achieved thanks to the charity the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Due to his illness, that causes the lungs to become clogged with mucus, it is hard for Brandon to play sport.

But, in spite of this he has played football for three different teams and also likes cycling, volleyball and badminton. His other passion is music.

Victoria, Brandon’s mum, says; ‘Brandon is a very caring person and acts as my carer.

‘He always makes time for family and friends even though he has a lot on himself.

‘We are all very proud of the young man he has turned into and the determination he’s shown.’

When he was referred to Starlight for a wish, Brandon asked for professional DJ equipment and to have lessons at a top DJ Academy.

Starlight arranged for Brandon to attend a 12-week DJ course at SubBass Academy in London. The charity also bought him a laptop, headphones and speakers.

To celebrate passing the course, Brandon was able to DJ at the Ministry of Sound nightclub.

Brandon adds: ‘It was only ever a dream to have my first ever gig at Ministry Of Sound in London.

‘Thanks to Starlight, I was given the chance to go to the academy. They gave me this amazing opportunity to live that dream. I’m now pursuing my career as a DJ and am also heading out to Ibiza next year.’
