Young riders are being called to use the facility, which will be set up opposite the Blue Lagoon, from 11am until 4pm.

The track is being used as a testing ground for a BMX pump track which could be built in the north of the city.

No formal plans have been submitted for the site yet by Portsmouth City Council.

However, it’s hoped the new track could improve the fitness of youngsters within the city and boost the sport’s standing.
