THE annual Countryside Awards competition is welcoming entries to this year’s event.
Organised by the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE), entries are being invited by June 17 for the 10th year of the awards.
Volunteers, young people, community groups, businesses and organisations from across Hampshire have been encouraged to enter to receive recognition for their contribution to the county.
CPRE Hampshire chairwoman Dee Haas said: ‘We run these awards because we want to celebrate a beautiful, diverse and living countryside that everyone can value and enjoy. By acknowledging good practice, we hope to inspire people to try something similar in their communities.’
This year’s awards are sponsored by The Southern Co-operative, the lead sponsor and sponsor of Community and Voluntary award, Steve’s Leaves, which is sponsoring the Young People award, Dutton Gregory Solicitors, which has sponsored the Rural Enterprise category, and Radian, which has put its named to the Sustainable Buildings award.
