FAMILIES can take advantage of a host of family fun on offer at Portsmouth’s museums this half-term.

There will be spooky shenanigans at Cumberland House Natural History Museum with a Bones, Beasties & Body Bits family event on Friday, October 28.

It is suitable for children aged five to 11 and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Tickets to the event, which takes place from 11am to 2pm, cost £3 per child or £1.75 with a Leisure Card.

Continuing the halloween theme is a ghost walk around Southsea Castle on Monday, October 24, and Monday, October October 31, from 7pm to 8pm.

The walks are for children aged 12
years and older and tickets cost £15 in advance. Visit for more.

Other half-term events include the Big Draw family workshop on Saturday October, 22, a bee-themed event on Thursday October 27, and Eastney Beam Engine House open days.

Help celebrate the annual Big Draw event by creating a giant, interactive 3D drawing inspired by museum objects with a choice of two sessions at Portsmouth Museum from 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
