A toddler had to be rescued from a car after she was accidentally locked inside.

The panicked parent dialled for the emergency services after realising their error.

A crew from Havant fire station was sent to Bondfields Crescent in Leigh Park at 9.30am yesterday.

They were able to prise the front door far enough open to grab the car keys from where they had been left.

The two-year-old girl did not suffer any injury as a result of being locked in by herself.
