IT’S been 11 years since Tom Prince died and now his aunt and uncle are taking on the Great South Run in his memory.
Paul Bandoni, 64, and his sister Maureen Prince, 65, are taking on the 10-mile event to raise money for the Tom Prince Cancer Trust, which was set up after the death of their nephew in 2004.
The charity raises money for research into osteosarcoma, the most common type of bone cancer.
Paul, from Haslemere Road in Southsea, said: ‘When Tom passed away 11 years ago, we wanted to keep his memory alive and to do something positive in his name.
‘My sister has done the run quite a few times and I did it 10 years ago so we know what to expect. We have been out training and we are feeling good, so we are looking forward to it.’
