Too many fans being banned - Mark Catlin

Have your say

POMPEY have banned 15 supporters so far this season.

It’s the fifth highest tally in League Two, with Luton Town topping the list with 27.

But chief executive Mark Catlin said: ‘I think a figure of one is too high because supporters should be able to come to football grounds, enjoy themselves, have a good time without feeling threatened or subject to any form of abuse or potential fines.

‘We are trying to offer a good atmosphere at stadiums, not just at Pompey but throughout the whole football family and increased violence, threatening or abusive of racist behaviour has no place in the modern game.’
