DOG owners who think their pet has the kindest eyes, waggiest tail or looks just like them are being urged to enter the RSPCA K9 Kapers dog show.

The annual charity dog show, which raises vital funds for the Stubbington Ark animal shelter, is being held on Castle Field, Southsea, on Saturday, April 30.

This fun event draws a sizeable crowd with owners eager to see their prize pooch walk off with Best in Show.

Doug Melson from Cosham said: ‘I always enter my springer spaniel Zebedee in the dog shows the Ark organises.

‘What I like about the dog show is that it has such a fun atmosphere and the dogs have a great time. Zeb hasn’t won anything yet but maybe this year he will be lucky.’

The show runs from 11am to 4pm and registration costing £1 can be taken from 10.30am.

For more information either pop in at the Ark in Ranvilles Lane, Fareham or contact the fundraising department on (01329) 666916.
