A PUB landlord has been found dead.

Peter Davies, of The White Hart Inn, South Harting, near Petersfield. was found at about 1am on Monday by his partner Hayley Thomas.

Mr Davies and his partner moved into the pub with their young daughter in the autumn.

A spokesman for Sussex police said: ‘Police and ambulance crews attended an address in The Street, Harting, following concern for the health of a man. Emergency services were called to the address at 12.50am and a 37-year-old man was found dead at the property. The man’s death is not believed to be suspicious.’

An inquest will take place.
