CHRISTMAS festivities will be in full sail at Port Solent this weekend with its two-day waterside Christmas market.

More than 60 market stalls will offer a range of goods and gifts.

There will be magic and balloon modelling for children with Jack Frost, and youngsters will have the chance to meet Disney Frozen’s Olaf the snowman and Father Christmas.

There will be a different programme of live seasonal music on each day with local musical groups giving acoustic performances throughout Saturday and Highbury Area Band adding to the festive atmosphere on Sunday.

Events manager Lisa Fowler said: ‘With traders selling everything from gifts and decorations for the home to delicious local food and wines, we’ve been busy planning to ensure there is something for everyone –– with an emphasis on unique present ideas – all in one place and with free parking. They’ll also be a great festive atmosphere to get everyone in the mood with a host of different entertainment.’
