A MAN arrested over a stabbing outside a Portsmouth pub late on Monday night has been given conditional bail until September 17.

The 27-year-old male from London, but who residents said lived locally, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm on Tuesday following the incident outside The Mars pub in Temple Street, Landport.

The victim was rushed to Queen Alexandra Hospital just after midnight having sustained suspected life changing injuries after being repeatedly stabbed.
