Veterans gather for Emsworth parade

Veterans gathered in Emsworth today for the annual St George's Day parade.

And this year’s march is a double celebration, having been timed to coincide with the Queen’s 90th birthday.

The traditional march is led by 12 Regiment, from Thorney Island. Korean War veterans will also join the parade.

It begins in Queens Street at 11am and will snake its way down to St Peter’s Square where the Mayor of Havant, Leah Turner, will take the salute and give out the Imjin Rose, to commemorate those who fought in the Korean War.
