A chicken is getting physiotherapy from her West Sussex owner.
Rosie, a seven-year-old pet chicken, suffered horrific injuries when she was savaged by a fox in front of shocked owner Jean Hull.
Jean, who did not want to lose Rosie because she was her late husband’s favourite, spent six months nursing the chicken back to health.
As part of her recovery, Rosie became one of the first chickens to undergo a pioneering new procedure of bird physiotherapy – which involves careful limb manipulation and strengthening exercises.
Jean, of High Salvington, near Worthing, said: “She clearly wanted to live and wasn’t going to let that fox beat her.
