Sussex cyclist Ric Stern reckons he is lucky to be alive after he was almost smashed off his bike by the huge bus, when the driver pulled out into the road in front of him.

The keen rider, who works for cycling firm RST Sport, was enjoying a leisurely ride near his home in Eastbourne, East Sussex, on Thursday when the bus came out of a side street – and missed him by a fraction of an inch.

This is the horrifying moment a cyclists was millimetres from big trouble when he was almost side-swiped - by a BUS.
