Alex Salmond says he prefers ‘people of faith’ in church message.

Comments made by former First Minister Alex Salmond have been branded “deeply inappropriate” after he revealed he prefers “people of faith” to those with none.

Mr Salmond made the comments in a short video for the Church of Scotland where he discusses his own faith.

He said religious groups play a “key role” in society, adding: “I am biased of course because I am a Church of Scotland adherent and I prefer people of faith to people of no faith or people who have lost their faith.
