This video shows the ironic moment a £200,000 top-of-the-line customised Range Rover had to be rescued – by a 50-year-old banger.

In the video the supercar can be seen wallowing in the mud on a beach, unable to free itself from the quagmire it has created by spinning all four wheels.

But then staff from the harbour in Salcombe, Devon, rushed to its rescue - in a old Land Rover worth 100 times less than its more illustrious but stranded companion.

Stunned on-lookers watched on as the £2,000 model then winched the £205,000 specially adapted Range Rover Autobiography to safety.
