FOOTBALL bosses from a non-league club paid a visit to the Royal Navy’s newest warship. Four members of Woking FC were welcomed on board Portsmouth-based HMS Duncan, pictured.
Woking’s chairman, Mike Smith, is the father of Able Seaman (Warfare Specialist) Mike Smith, a member of Duncan’s crew.
They presented the ship’s commanding officer with a set of football shirts.
Petty Officer (Electronic Warfare) Perry Jarrom said: ‘It’s really great to get support of the professional footballers from Woking.
‘The shirts they have presented are a great gift to the ship and will be used in future matches.’
