BUSINESSES have been invited to help restore a room with links to the Battle of Waterloo.

The Elms, in Bedhampton, which dates from the 16th century, is now a care home run by the Manor House Trust.

The Waterloo Room was a banqueting hall built to honour the success of the Duke of Wellington at the Battle of Waterloo.

Three open days are being held, inviting support for a £20,000 bid to restore the room.
