A HOUSING association tenant has been honoured for giving residents a voice.

Carolyn Sutton was given a Star award by Guinness Hermitage, her landlord, for her work on behalf of residents.

The 60-year-old, of Elizabeth Road, Waterlooville, represents tenants on six different groups.

She said: ‘I was absolutely chuffed when I found out I had won.

‘I’m constantly busy but I just enjoy helping people.

‘So many people are living by themselves and they don’t always know what they are entitled to.

‘I hate to see people lonely or feeling ignored so I like to help them get out of their homes and give them a voice so their views can be heard.’
